The Hidden Me, The Real Me. Poem by Robyn Vien

The Hidden Me, The Real Me.

You see me here,
You see me there,
But you don't see ME.
I've hidden myself,

So you won't see the real me.
But that's the problem,
It's been hidden so long,
That not even I,

Know the real me.
One day I hoped to reveal myself to you.
But that may take years,
And I might not have that long.

Someday the darkness will recede,
And the real me will be seen in true form.
Then, and only then, you will see the REAL Me.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem while thinking that no one knew who i was, not even me. I acted different around different friends and family. Then I was talking to my Crush and my laugh actually seemed genuine. So i wrote this and i was going to send it to him. But it never happened and He has a girl-friend. I dedicate it to him, though i will not mention his name.
