Giving Up Inside

It May Seem You’re Playing
A Baseball – No Hitter!
But Mommie and Daddy
Didn’t Raise No Quitter

I Know You’re Lonely
I Know You’re Tired
I Know All About Those
Tears You’ve Cried

… You Went Fishing
Got Nothing Good, In Net
But Don’t Give Up
The Best Is Coming, Next …

The Hope Of Love
Sometimes Hides
In The Strangest Places
Then Jumps Out, Surprise!

When You Least Expect It
And Most Cynical
Hope Of Love, Comes Calling …
