The Hopefull Climb Poem by Hirushi Jayasena

The Hopefull Climb

Blurred vision towards the future
While turning back at the colorful life
Devastation is appeared unseen
And pours in the darkness when its time

Sand clocks turning around
Making seconds months and days
Experiencing the unexpected changes
and struggling to survive in many ways

Days spent mostly at times
Stuck to needles and resting beds
Hoping to rise up once again
Saving the tears that were meant to shed

Collecting strength to hold a pen
To add color to fading times
And prune the thorny shrubs and woods
That are planted in their lives

Great expectations energizing
For them to follow a constant light
May a rainbow come after the storm
And show the path that was right and bright

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It is a fragile composition of mine, which describes the life of a cancer patient, the ups and down, with challenges confronted.
