The Illusion Of Happiness Poem by Marc Seifert

The Illusion Of Happiness

In a good day,
In a bad day,
We choose to live.

We live by rules,
Created by fools,
That have nothing good to give.

We give and we take,
And with the promises we break,
We become criminals of our own mistake.

We foresee the odds,
Turn ourselves into frauds,
To fit in society allowing ourselves to partake.

The society we live in,
Covered by power - greed and sin,
Is the illusion of happiness to man.
