The Innate Mystical Sense Of The Poets Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

The Innate Mystical Sense Of The Poets

Rating: 5.0

Poets intuitively recognize
the suggestive qualities
of the symbols
and their links with truth.

They borrow and adapt them
in translating reality into terms
of rhythm and speech.

But they owe their origin to
that mystical sense
that is innate in all true poets.

tony, this poem brings two things to mind. first, a little poem of mind i posted fairly recently called by or through. second, it reminds me of the idea of archetypes that carl jung identified. there is indeed only one fountain of love and creativity, and we have the privilege of being instruments for that One. there's nothing new under the sun, the writer of ecclesiastes tells us. but how many unique variations there are! glen
