There is abattle in us,
not with God, but
with the exterior self.
With the power of God's love,
Jacob transforms into
the one who sees God.
A mystic seeks no kind
of mastery except the
mastery of self.
He seeks no kind
of knowledge except
the intuitive knowledge
of God at the
depths of his being.
All else is superfluous.
(Jacob's story is in Genesis in the Holy Bible
Ch.32: 24-29) .
