The Invisible Candle

The 16 candles in front
of your face
Arent just there to show
You how much you have grown

Each Candle includes how you feel...
Where You have been
What you now stand for, future hopes

Your Golden day is in front of you
Inside my heart
Is a shadow of Purple happiness

All your 16 candles, have kept their light burning
During 16 Years of winds, and everything

Have You ever asked yourself the Question why...?
Let me tell you

Its The candle that remains through it all
The Candle Hardly noticed
The Candle Standing before and after all Candles
The Invisble Candle

When All YOUR CANDLES faded
during 16 years, when hope
Had Lost its Value

When the night in your
life felt as if it overstayed
Its Welcome

The Invisble candle STILL
kept burning
It kept Sharing its Light

You 16 now... Happy Birthday
But never forgot The extra Candle (Christ)

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
