Much of you shared with me, I know
What not shared with me is unknown
In sharing more, deep relationship grow
Undiscovered selves remain unsewn

Self-disclosure I offer as a decision
I am not afraid to tell you who I am
It’s a risk taken in the right direction
My love-gift, not much, is who I am

Enduring true love is in acceptance
Of the person you are, despite your past
Mistakes, hurts, failures, rejections…
But affirming your better side to outlast

Growing is lifetime process of becoming
It is a decision to love and stay loved
Narrowing the unknown, to live adjusting
It is being patient, constant, and honoured
