They seemed to travel for hours
His arm firmly gripping her
Around the waist
As she sunk back into his warm body
Though she didn't know him
The way in which he held her
So safely
Made her feel comfortable
The horse moved at a quick pace
Entering a dense forest
Crisping twigs underneath his hooves
Crackled to an echo
Birds tweeting up above
Sunlight finding it's way through the branches
Casting light upon them
As they found their way
To a glistening brook
He steadies the horse
Pulling the reins tightly
And to a stop
She dismounts
She looks up at him
and asks: 'What is your name? '
Great ending, IP, not at all what I was expecting.......in fact, I found it absurdly humourous, like something from Monty Python. Oh, and welcome to PH... Love, Fran xx
Must agree with Helen, oh Princess Impossible, or is that the Impossibility Princess...agggghhhh...ok, ..HEY, I. P.! (NOW, THAT DOESEN'T SOUND SO GOOD FOR ME TO BE SHOUTIN'! ') GOOD STUFF, THERE PRINCESS I.... FJR
Hmm.... I like a story without an ending.... can leave so much to interpretation. Interesting piece here IP - welcome to PH, you'll like it I'm sure! HG: -) xx
