The Keeper Of Dreams (In Memory Of Heather) Poem by Neet Baker

The Keeper Of Dreams (In Memory Of Heather)

The Keeper of dreams was ours to re-call…
Once in a lifetime… or never at all…
Succumb to a void, that’s sight unseen…
Never understand… where you’ve never been…

He showed us a world of shadows and pain…
Search the void… seek to gain
Minds lost in labyrinth dreams…
Soul dead… silent screams…

The Medusa sleeps… legend deemed…
Life everlasting… immortal we seemed…
Time enfolds… flashes of fear…
A soul is broken… death looms near…

Will we ever escape… or respond to the call?
No way of knowing… no hope at all…
Velvet dark anger… emotions repressed…
Never articulate… never express…

The final decision was yours to give…
The Keeper of Dreams, who chose not to live…
Life-time of searching to find you again…
Farewell hope… my childhood friend…
