when i first laid my eyes upon you
all the universe came to a halt
but then i saw you holding his hand
which took my heart and threw it in a vault

they key is gone, and nowhere to be found
the salvation for my heart.
your the only one who can save me now
but he is keeping us apart.

i've lost all hope for freedom
any chance i had with you is gone
as long as you are caught up in his act.
i'll bet he'll leave you before dawn

but if you free me from this cage
this prison of forbidden love
i promise you a life of happiness
it'll be like flying up above
