The King Of Spiders Poem by Sophie Allyah

The King Of Spiders

Like the lion is the supreme beast
While the eagle in the sky is the highest
Godzilla is the undisputed monster
Salmon fish being linked to King Arthur
And Elvis to the top when he sing
The Theraphosa blondi is the spider king!

This carnivorous weighs up to six ounces
Its leg span up to twelve inches
With an average duration of three to six
The female lives up to twenty years consist
Known also as the largest arachnid
It can take a hummingbird to feed

Sensitive to vibration to warn from dangers
With poor eyesight relying instead on leg hairs
They are prowling in northern South America
Liquefying the prey's inside to suck like pasta
Though seldom eating birds from yonder
They commonly called the Goliath birdeater
