The King, The Crown And The Cross! Poem by Denis Martindale

The King, The Crown And The Cross!

Oh, pardon me, that I should tell the Easter Story still,
Of Jesus Christ who saves from Hell because He climbed that hill,
Whereon the Romans crucified and let the crowds watch, too,
Until the victims cried and died, as they were meant to do.
Yet soldiers forced a crown of thorns upon the Saviour there,
While Mother Mary weeps and mourns and pleads to God in prayer.

Oh, pardon me, describing all, as if nobody knows,
Considering the miracle that tells us Jesus rose.
But there's a Royal Pardon, friends, within the Blood of Christ,
For at the Cross of Christ there ends the Saviour sacrificed,
Yet with His death, our sins get waived, by faith, that none should boast,
So, pardon me, and others saved, who truly love Him most.
