The Lamp Of My Heart Poem by shakil ahmed

The Lamp Of My Heart

Rating: 5.0

THE LAMP OF MY HEART

The lamp of my heart needs fuel
Oh, the girl with sweet lips
Don't be so cruel
Let my lamp shine your crystal soul

Thousand years ago, in a remote past
The lamp was lit with fire of passion
It has been burning incessantly
Like the blazing sun of florid purple noon.

The fire has begotten infinite dreams
Creeping around your crystal heart
Wind hauls at my window
In an attempt to extinguish fire.

Rain showers at my courtyard
But still it is blazing
The snow unfurls over the lamp
The way a tiger jumps to catch a deer

I prowl in the wilderness
Rummaging the girl with sweet lips
To fuel my lamp,
With her current of transparent soul.
