The Last Akward Kiss Poem by Kelly Batson

The Last Akward Kiss

You can’t get past all this pain
All the things he put you through
Let this be the last awkward kiss
That reminds you merely of her lips
See how flawless you are without him
He lost you long ago with his callous lies
Breathe without those empty promises
You don’t need his bulls*** candor
He’s never going to revolutionize
You are so damn angry, twisted up in the fury
Now you can see his truth undoubtedly
And who he really is inside, undeserving
He’s not the one to be trusted with your love
She let the tears fall to the floor and screams
“Nothing is going to cheat me out of my life!
Back then I lost my mind when you walked out,
But now you try to come back and my hands are tied”
Honey, let go of all your pain and take this fall
Like a trampoline you’ll bounce back up
Living, breathing and growing stronger
Learning from your experience
