The Last Alive Poem by Cerulean Celyn

The Last Alive

Arms wrap around myself,
To hold me together.
Anything happens if everything won't;
Just a little bit only
Under darkened summer skies.
The towering mountains sigh;
Like me, they are feeling 'out' of time.
I could have sworn I never woke up this day.
Could have been mere moments,
Or years.
Could never know.
The few stars are not as luminous
Here,
Where I wander still,
Amidst the ruins of a familiar city
Forsaken.
Quiet now, eyes cast down
Just a little more desert left to crawl,
And a little more soul left to lose...
