The Last Night Poem by coty rutkowski

The Last Night

Tonight the tears of an angel drown the brims of her eye's
As her Superman tells her not to cry
He opens his mouth slightly just to say
It's all going to be okay.
She asks 'what are we going to do? '
He says 'I love you'
So as they hug for the very last time
They dread those wicked hands to strike nine
They whisper their final goodbyes and let go of eachothers hands
A pain consumes them both that they cannot stand
They go to an empty home and they pick up a knife
Only to put it down knowing they are husband and wife
Only four months they have been together
But they know it will last forever
