The Life I Lost Poem by Oreoluwa Sanni

The Life I Lost

The Life I Lost.
The life I lost was one I never had,
If it was what I was meant to have,
perhaps I would have had it.

Key word, had,
that life is long gone like old crops of the field gone bad before the harvest,
The coconut seed seeks not to be a bean having it being both where created for diffrent purposes,

And an Almond fruit would never be an apple nor does it ever have or need to be.
The life I lost was me seeking to be a Cassava, like a Yam with Sweet Potato dreams.
