The Light Poem by Clive Blake

The Light

A Light so brilliant;
It can break the blackest dark asunder,
A Light so powerful;
It can out-strike lightning in full thunder,
A Light so glorious;
It can fill all who see it with wonder.

And …
Although so very bright;
Its rays will never blind,
Although always present;
It is not easy to find,
Although it is so mighty;
It is gentle as can be,

And if anyone were to follow it,
It would show them … Eternity.
