The Lock Is Set, Your Summon Has Been Revoked Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

The Lock Is Set, Your Summon Has Been Revoked

Distance, how you mock me so
With your cruel intentions
and selfish tendencies
Those enticing promises
of a poison so alluring
that it almost makes me forget
that its out to destroy my heart

Patience is the virtue
that I have held for years
but there is only so long
that I can allow myself to wait

This constant battle of what should be
those indecisive moments that sting
are all I have left to look over
the pieces of what could
or will never be

So many times I have wondered
am I not good enough
Had fate decided to dual
with my desires
and string me along

There is only so much hope
that can cling to my heart
only so much waiting
before I feel the cold
creep around me
and steal love

So with reluctance
I close that door
and allow the tears to well up
as I forget what I have
locked behind that door

Protection is the key
and tho fear is no friend of mine
I will not sit around
and be made to be called
The fool who opened to th devils call
