The Lone Heart Poem by Kelvin Onchoro

The Lone Heart

You said you were leaving but why did left the memories behind
Keeps thinking of you till headaches win my head
never wanted to make you cry but did it yourself n left,

I stand on the mirror to my reflection,
the man standing in front of me,
Full of tears and sorrow,
Doesn’t deserve dat, n you know it
The smile has gone and left me ugly, for no one to love,

If I was the sun, my heart would burn all
Sparing only ashes, but the love I had cant allow
N I had to let go, move and nurse my wounds of lone
Then I realize loneliness as my only friend, I would smile alone
In memories of past, to give a moon response of hopes

I stretch my arms to take chance, its there, a shining hand
Rubs ma face off de sadness, to a brighter new day
My ability shows capability, unfolded power
N conquer the weakness

Am never alone
