The Lonely Luggage Poem by monica mondello

The Lonely Luggage

Rating: 2.5

You left me, abandoned me, in a small dark place.
Many others were just like me, I was just another familiar face.
I was thrown and shook about, all I wanted was to leave.
And when the doors opened up, all I thought was CLAIM ME PLEASE!
I dropped on to the belt, that circled round and round,
Faces were a blur and I saw others being looked for and found.
Many hours later, my future looked sad and lame,
Because I was being lifted up and hoisted,
Into where luggage stays unclaimed
