The Lonely Palash Tree In Bloom By The Rivulet Banks Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Lonely Palash Tree In Bloom By The Rivulet Banks

The palash tree
By the banks of the rivulet
Crossing
The secluded wild tracts
But in bloom
With the clusters of orange blooms
Hanging down the branches
And the tree laden down with
The ornate clusters
Beautifying the tract
As the flame of the forest
Presenting the canopies in paint and colour
But overlooking a corpse burnt
On the pyre
Which the coal and burnt logs telling it
What it lived, relived to ruminate it
When the curtain hung it down
All over that we felt proud of.
