The Long Walk Poem by Rebensky JeanCharles

The Long Walk

I took a long walk to clear my mind of despair and pity.
My mind is stuck reminiscing about the lost past as I listen to old music.
The wind is blowing at my face as the temperature of the day goes down.
The bright lights on the streets blocked my view of the stars in the sky.
I take a sip of my soda as I watch the cars go by.
I lost track of time as I look at my watch realizing that its midnight.
I keep walking, the street lights start to vanish as I walk further and further from the city.
The moon gives off a bright glow that beams upon me, its symbolizing loneliness.
As I lengthening the distance from my home, I feel a warm drop of rain fall down unto my cheek.
As I look up, I see lightning bolts flashing threw the sky.
I walk home.
