The Malaysian Bird Poem by Ekwueme Kelechi

The Malaysian Bird

Waking up to the greetings of the birds
I peered through my window
To find the Malaysian bird
Singing my praises
Her gift took me to the world of usurugede
As I proclaimed through my waist the stuff I'm made of.

Usurugede the song of my prime world
A place where I knew no stain
Usurugede the hand that tickles my legs
Usuru stirs my innate Sheol
And gede proves its work
Dance Usurugede to the only Spirit King

**************
*Usurugede- - the song of the spirits.
