The Man That Played The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald In Madison Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

The Man That Played The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald In Madison

Do you remember the guy who play The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald?

Yes you might have seen him play it down at Library mall

Yes he sounded just like the real artist Gordon Lightfoot and he could play harmonica too

But what was his name I can't think of it can you?

It's funny how people come and go out of our life and we don't really know them

One day I came by him to show him how I could play the mandolin

I played him yesterday and he was really polite about it

Even though I didn't quite know what I was doing quite yet

Well as things happen he died kind of young

I wonder if in heaven he now plays that Gordon Lightfoot song?
