The Maze Poem by ReubenJames Rodriguez

The Maze

I see a tempting path. I wonder if I should wonder off that path.
Temptation drives all up and down my veins. I am tempted.
I place one foot, then two. I am standing before the entrance.
I enter this tempting path never looking back. I have no regrets.

I am surrounded in fear and darkness. Over-whelmed, I run.
I run and run and run and run. I blame the world.
God oh God. Embrace me with your power.
Take me to the light. Here I am.

Eager I am. I run in this maze not caring where I end.
Run is what I do best. I care not.
I care though. I care I care.
Willing to be loved. I love subconsciously.

Enlighten me with your infinite wisdom. I am but a seed wanting to grow.
I see the exit of this long maze. Stronger I grow.
I see them all. I see the welcome me with wisdom and love.
I did not have to go to God after all. I ignored their love through my selfish pupils.

Together we stand. I am a infinite of love and wisdom.
Agonizing it was, this long and mysterious path. I teach the younger image of myself.
Never to follow those footsteps. I will guide you to a new set of footsteps.
Do not be tempted. I promise, temptation leads to no where.

Ruben, you are quite accurate in your assessment that most of us will more than likely be unable to reveal your the cryptic within this poem. And, i do detect talent & opulent potential in your work.Hiwever, what is very revealing & unfortunately stands out dominantly is your dis-fluxive structure, as well as a total mis-use of punctuation. You also have a mis-spell, or else you have chosen a word that is grammarically incorrect. However, all that aside, Ruben, in you, i also see a measure of creativity that if properly cultivated should enable you to vastly improve on a consistent basis. to a degree i believe you have the ability to achieve. Read your Contemporary Poet's, and practice-write as much as time permits. Good Luck, young man. F j R 2010

There is a hidden message in this poem. I wrote it for fun. Most of you readers will never figure it out. There is a line that says the hidden puzzle. If you think you know what it is, comment the answer. Would also love some feedback on the poem itself.
