The Middle Class Poem by Francis Duggan

The Middle Class

Rating: 5.0

The middle class to greater things do aspire
And the financially successful many of them tend to admire
Their dream to buy a home in the upper class side of the town
Anything less for them would seem a big let down
The middle class voters the Government decide
And they usually vote with the conservative side
And ninety per cent of them do vote on Election Day
Not shy to vote they like to have their say,
The middle class conservative in every way
They believe you must work hard for every pay
And a chance of job promotion they do never pass
Their aim is not to remain amongst the middle class
Up the hill of success they slowly climb their way
And they may reach the upper class summit one day.
