A Russian fuel-laden Airbus was in flight,
Yet suddenly the passengers were left in such deep fright,
A flock of gulls got sucked into its engines causing it to fail,
Causing panic and fear on an enormous scale,
226 passengers on board panicking in fear,
Hoping that their time is not yet near,
Both engines failed, one then soon the other,
Racing up pulses of each child, father and mother,
The pilots decided to take drastic action,
A high risk gamble was their reaction,
They glided it down into the nearby corn field,
The damp high-standing maize crop acted like a shield,
It took a great deal of impact from the crash landing,
No deaths on that day thanks to the pilot's skilful handling,
70 needed medical attention, one was hospitalised from the ordeal,
Such a narrow escape because of the pilots spine of steel!
