A couple wanting a child of their own,
A little baby needing parents and a home.
This tiny angel is the answer to your prayers,
And with the miracle of adoption, you are an answer to theirs.
Holding this baby, that is laying peacefully in your lap.
Rocking back and forth, waiting for a nap.
This baby may not originally be yours, but giving all your love you will,
The empty place in your hearts, God knew how to fill.
Waiting so long, anticipating when you meet,
This baby you're holding, that is so very sweet.
After all the legal procedures you had to do,
You are a family now, through and through.
