The Miracle Of Love Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

The Miracle Of Love

When love operates in all its might benign
In the human heart, miracles mighty do happen
At the daring surrender of a darling, streamed forth compassion
That too in a measure bounteous, life sprang up with elan
With a shudder, I understand it was nearly a resurrection
Profoundly grateful, I salute all the powers benign, medicinal or divine
And I recognize you, greet you Pratish, my friend as you have emerged serene
From the relentless grip of shadow unforgiving, monstrous, sullen
Your daughter Devananda deserve to be extolled with harp and lyre specially chosen.

Poet's note:
My close friend Pratish at Supernet, Thrissur had a successful partial liver transplant. The live donor was his minor daughter Devananda.
