The Monday After The Weekend Poem by Ernest Elliot Daka

The Monday After The Weekend

Rating: 5.0

Just a wish to tell you how I am feeling, here right now
When I look in your eyes I see a gentle spirit that lives
A gentle spirit within your heart, a man with inner strength
A man with depth moulded by years of experience
When I hear you voice, I hear the whisper of a wish, a prayer
It is for our love never to end, that it transcends time and space
My darling, your love touches me in ways no other words can ever

The feelings in me now, feelings of emotions, love and ecstasy
Feelings I thought where dead because of my losses in the past
When I loved and lost my heart stopped to love ever again
But for your magic, my darling, my love; my days are lit again
Your words light up my day in this cloudy world of shadows
Your love chases the shadows from the corners of my mind
You talk and my day lightens, kissing my worries away

You have a way, like magic, it makes me feel special, very special
Your ways leave me at peace, secure and complete with my world
And everything around, is soft and kind for especially me!
I find myself going back and forth, looking at your pictures
Your silence especially goads me to seek your images, to refresh
The picture I see, a face, boyish of quality, honest and trusting
My rare gems in a world that ages us long before our time
In my lonely moments, I reach for you and hold your face in my memory
And I feel a surge of energy driven by my love for you, your love for me.

Sometimes I'm drifting away from my dreams and the road is rough, winding
Your gentle touch saves my day and brings me home, a kaleidoscope of life
In our heavenly copulative intimacy, you whisper your love for me, and I am floating
It's the greatest gift you can ever give me and my heart swells with amazing happiness
You love selflessly, like to inspire me and now I know, joyous intimacy lives in me
Your love and trust touch me in ways my words fail to describe feelings in me

My darling, my love, my man!
How can I say thank you for coming to me, to my life, to share laughter and kisses
For the Monday after the weekend is an amazing day of angelic dreams of frenzies
And yet I ask and know not how you come to me and my humble life
For my search for you, and the story of my life are but one
Here your heart and mine come together even as the distance separates us
Though impossible, the dream must come true for our love is stronger always
And the value of us is worth the hardship we can and will suffer for love
And now with closed eyes I smile, again and again for love like this I dreamt not
But I know it's all because of you and your ways of loving me
I could never say enough I love you, I love you, I love you, try as I might
Now the truth must be said, my darling, my love for I am simply crazy about you.......
