The Monkey Man Jumping Into The Streets Of Delhi, The Mass Phobia Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Monkey Man Jumping Into The Streets Of Delhi, The Mass Phobia

The monkey man
Jumping into the streets of Delhi,
Scratching, snatching from,
Vexing the people so notoriously,
The shanty people feeling afraid of,
Was it a phobia
Or the spectre haunting
Or an awkward experience is it
Of the ignorant masses?
Or was it a mass hysteria?
Prem se bolo, Bajrangabali ki jai,
Hanumanji ki jai.
The reality is this I too fear the monkey
When it gnashes the teeth, snatches from,
Growling and ready to bite if got teased
And smile you not on seeing it.
