The Most Beautiful Poem by Pratyush Sahoo

The Most Beautiful

Rating: 5.0

The day was sunny and bright,
When I asked the nature to write
Write down the most beautiful things,
Everything, except the human beings.

Nature smiled and said
There's something I have laid
Laid a big barren land
For you to play and dirty your hand

"What's next", asked I,
"Please tell, don't sigh"
Received answer from the mother
"No cloud is like the other."

"Leaning on chair and,
Looking at me…
You can see the squirrels
Playing hide & seek with thee."

"See the line joining trees,
Yes, that's the mighty breeze.
Breeze, which brings freshness with it,
Like to sit outside and eat? "

"Ever noticed the birds moulding nests? "
Answered I, "Yes a blissful place to rest."
"See the baby birds falling down,
Only to see their parents bringing them a crown."

"But what about the sun? ", questioned I
"Yes, making you see the world through your eyes."
Asked mother, "Can you see the sun? "
"Ha ha, only if my eyes don't burn"

"Have you got to know majesty's powers? "
"Majesty? ", "Is it the rain that showers? "
"You guessed it right my child,
Never take it for granted as it's both hostile and mild."

"But mother, I have a few more doubts."
"Ask my son, I won't let them become a stout"
"Here's the first one, oh mother,
Why we greet while meeting each other? "

Received answer, "We greet to respect
To show them our views and prospect.
Some do it by touching feet, others by shaking hands,
Because emotions are the collection of flawless bands."

"Oh, mother! Why you get so furious at times? "
"It's only to give your poem certain rhymes.
Rhymes to make you understand disassembled environment,
Never harm or destroy anything until the final judgement."

"Oh, mother! I'm sorry for what we've caused,
And, I know it will never get an applaud.
But, please pardon us for destroying your wear,
We won't do it again; a promise I swear."

" My child, please stop sobbing,
Only thing this old mother needs is little caring.
You do mistakes, realise them and try not to do them again ever,
That's why you are my best creation ever! "
