The Narrow Road Poem by Brian Pettit

The Narrow Road

Oh narrow road of trial and treasure
You're the best road I can take
Though the broad way may be smoother
sparkling glitter and bright lights fake
On the true street light is shining
From the hidden Word inside
But those on the road more traveled
hearts deceived in darkness hide
So when I stumble on my journey
His blood cleanses me from sin
On humble knee I beg His pardon
And He makes me pure within
As I lean on His great mercy
My weakness will find strength in God
Then persuade one on the wide road
To switch the narrow road to trod
