The Nefarious Grampa Poem by Nick Krakana

The Nefarious Grampa

'Its ok i got this said he'
As he stooped over to fasten in the pin
In his nefarious mind he did no such thing
No pin was set on his trailer by he

A long time experienced construction man
This was no mistake you see

As I entered onto the 417
The traffic had no time for me
I speed my truck up and the trailer let go
Scaring me and my dogs so

I had never before been in such a dangerous way
With his 16 foot trailer bashing into my rear
By God's good grace I controlled the stop
On a most dangerous stretch O town can present

Traffic zoomed by inches from my door
With no shoulder to move onto
And inches to spare
As i tried to raise his trailer there

It was difficult you see
As the piston got bent as it dragged behind me
Then a Newfie appeared next to me
'Boy he say, there's no pin in your hitch'

Helping me out of this dangerous spot
Stopping his tow truck with lights a flashing
Deflecting traffic safely
A brown 100$ bill I rewarded he

Looking back 9$ more
Would have been fitting I now see

For I believe he saved my dogs and me
From this nefarious grampa
Who did try to trap me
And use me to gain a new trailer for he

Not concerned about our safety

My thinking from all this is extraordinary, one of...
He really doesn't like me!
