The Neighbor Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Neighbor

Rating: 5.0

it begins with
a bouquet of white flowers
beside the red
carnation in that big
house by the sea

listen to the sound of
the water fountain
it greets us welcome
with a song

then the white car beside
the yellow road
closed and too private

on the other side of the road
someone looks at us
in confusion, smiles a bit
and shows disdain

The water fountain that greets us welcoming with a song is amazing neighbor of ours. A brilliant poem on life and perception is shared here.10
