The New Ones Poem by Rosetta -

The New Ones

Why are they still rotting here?
Shoo, it's been your time,
And it's past. The young ones are here
To claim the world for their generation.

Have faith in the poets who have come before you.
Remember they were soldiers who have fought alongside you,
Will remember you, and will be remembered.
I will be remembered; perhaps you are too old to understand.

And at last, the flag crashes.
We've claimed the earth, the time is ours.
You no longer are able to speak with the majority, because
We are the masses you will answer to now.

We are the new ones of this day and age.
Will you pity yourself and let the world crush you?
Or will you step out of our way?
