a long time ago and far away,
but still in living memory
allen howled and jack proclaimed
in tounges so new yet still the same
that we, the youth wont play those games

others strived to scream and shout
that the games were null and the regime out
but none before had told the young
in mad, flamboyant, cursive tongue
but now the voice is all but gone

those today still use this voice
but instead of gospel preach
in themselves, and dirt rejoice
and to the youth the tongue will reach

is mindless sex, and skinny kecks,
fame, heartbreak and all the rest
the best these poets teach?
