The Old Year's coming to a grinding halt
A New Year is about to take off fast
The human heart thanks God for all good things
That happened in the one year that's now past
The New Year starts with hopes, desires, dreams
May it be filled with smiles and laughter more
May wars and accidents, bloodshed be less
May nations prosper joining global streams
Let's labour hard to usher better year
Let virtues win the war against vices
Let better be man in the longer run
Let bliss prevail o'er sadness in the end
Our faith in God will keep us more cheerful
Life has much wonders still to be witnessed
The book of life has chapters unwritten
‘Tis up to us to change the story's trend
‘Happy New Year to all Indians everywhere! '
