The Night Poem by Naomi Waters

The Night

Rating: 5.0

The dawn
The morning
Bring hope
Bring joy
The hours pass
The minutes slowly tick away
And you notice
That the sun is leaving
The joy and hope you once felt is gone
Now replaced by fear
And anger
The day is gone
Night has descended
The army of darkness marchs across the land
Bringing with it death
And destruction
The darkness hides things that soon the day will find
Once again the dawn comes
The morning comes
But this time
There is no joy
No hope
Only tragedy
Because the day has uncovered...
Something the night hid
The light of day has discovered
DEATH
Each day another life is stolen by the darkness
Because when night has some
Hope has died
