The Oceans Wave Poem by Myrtle Thomas

The Oceans Wave

riding on the stormy sea
billows the wind did blow
calm we were hastly
forgone were yesterdays thought
of rainbow clouds of cotton candy

cradled we were rocked to sleep
like baby buntin..... lulabye babies sweet dreams
kissed our cheeks and wet our lips
risk offerd it's glorious view

beyond formalities it was just we two
dew drops lay upon our brow
as time rolled away in waves
the stars were lights of familarty

no compass needed it was just our way
to sail through life without fate or destiny
' go with the flow as some may say '
lifted high from burdens, under clouds of gray
the clock minutes ticked away
for we were buried together in peaceful glee

let waves roar and thunder boast
as the stars declare God's heavenly host
we pray for peace and love our choice..... determined to stay our course.
