The Oil Garden Poem by Ronald Kigozi N

The Oil Garden

They mined and mined
Inch by inch of the
Sacred scotched sandy oil garden
In the land between
Till it pregnant lay
With sealed rare seeds of grace
Spasms of life frothing
And scintillating within.

With each tread made thereupon
concealed sealed seeds sprouted into life
Wildly shooting out of their shells
Mincing the lower limbs
Targeting to embrace the hands and heads above
Widening the woes and throes of man
Weeding and wedding the wars thereon.

Forced and plunged into the new world,
Ejected from the newest Babylon-
The land between two rivers-
The big children groaned and moaned
The loss of their limbs and heads
In the land where life
First sprung and evolved
But where it now doesn't matter
How it is resolved and congealed
With mines and mines allover
With some concealed in figures
Appproaching you right now.....!
