The One In Control Poem by Julia Luber

The One In Control

Don't play into this. A lie, a trick, a temptation denied. Don't
get upset and don't get too deep about it. And so perhaps maybe
it is just somebody trying to pull some manipulation games:
showing off their goods and what they have to give and then
taking it away to feel power and control and to show off their
capacity to lie and mess things up for you if they so choose.
So maybe it is just a power play of some very wealthy person showing
off that they can do what they want. Parading with pride and lies
and deceptions and deceits that they can claim what they want and
lie about what they want. Maybe it is just somebody trying to humiliate
you and show off their indifference towards humiliating you. Maybe it
is somebody just trying to subliminally kill you by deceiving and tricking
and exploiting you through they eyes and a sense of possession. Perhaps
it is. Maybe this is just a test to see if you can stay cool as a cucumber.
Cool down. Feel some cool air. BReath. Know that youknow the truth
and it has been violated for thrills for the "one in control."

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Feeling tricked in a business transaction gone awry. I think it's a power play by the seller.
