The P.O.W. Must Poem by Ima Ryma

The P.O.W. Must

A P.O.W.'s return
Should be the goal first and foremost.
That's what any soldier does earn,
When in harm's way We choose to post.
If We the People choose to send
A soldier off to risk it all,
Any means justifies the end.
The President does make that call -
Rescue. Often the price is high,
And bargains made defy sound sense,
'Specially when more soldiers die.
But that's why We choose Presidents.

No soldier should be left behind.
First save the soldier, then fault find.
