The Palm Leaves Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

The Palm Leaves

Rating: 5.0

I can't but think of you now

The blue moon rises up
The palm leaves hold a distinct smell
The rain has finished spatting
Just now only- it left

Where did I spot you first?
Beneath that mango tree?

The palm leaves only know
They refuse to tell me
They have been so-
Since the day I spotted you
