The Passers-By Poem by nimal dunuhinga

The Passers-By

Rating: 5.0

I was searching a shelter
passing so many obstacles.
'I am the only one who is living here'.
'How do you live alone my dear? '
'Those who come here keep their memories
and a newcomer peeps before it fades.'
'I do not leave you alone my darling
and I promise you to stay here forever.'
'There were lot of broken promises brother
they stay here for a while and left but never come back.'

A poem of eloquence and longing for something that is always just beyond reach. Very effective, Nimal. Warm regards, Sandra
