The Pebble-Stones Thrown By The Good-Natured Devotee! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

The Pebble-Stones Thrown By The Good-Natured Devotee!

O’ girl with beautiful forehead!

Harsh words of people
…with a novice heart are pleasant,

The pleasing words of others
…are considered harmful – for the God,

Which is more desirable?

Are the pebble-stones thrown at Lord’s feet
…by the good-natured devotee?

Or the flowered arrows aimed with the
…sugarcane bow by the God of love?
