The Perfect Half Poem by Miguel Alaun

The Perfect Half

They say that the perfect
half comes only in dreams.
so I laid down my
head so I can dream about
you. Nights went by and
my dreams were blank. I
gave up all hope. Maybe I
could imagine you at daylight
but you had no face. Should I
start believing in fate? Will fate
guide me in your arms? They
say destiny is blind. Who am
I to face the Endless. Turn
a page. Am I in it? Guess
not. You cant see can you?
You don't write in it. Did God?
Leave me then. Let me be.
Pain. So much pain. No one
to share it with. I close
my eyes and i let myself
go. And there at the end of the
tunnel I see you.
