The Perfect Soldier Poem by Femi Ademiluyi

The Perfect Soldier

With legs agap
and head held high
he stood firm bridging the gap
between bravery and courage

With feet of solid brass
he stampled on all
like elephant on grass
yet he neva took a fall

Unpenetrateable, like kevlar
his muscle roared
tearing apart all dat got into his mortar
great or small, novice or trained

His heart waz a breastplate of gold
shielding away nt only bullets
buh also love, affection and friendships of old
thru it rage was pumped

Silver were his handz made of
beautiful looking nd beautifully destroying
Thousands through them hav fallen off
and they seem to b neva stopping

His head waz made of Diamond
and proverbially his brain too
perfectly perfect waz this soldier
and perfect wud his death be too
